By the end of the month I SHOULD be posting the next issue. Any other Social Media posts I have left I’ll just put in a collection.

Glowing Hearts
680 comics.
To the person who was upset that the Packett house stairs didn’t have a banister – the problem will be solved going forward. Thank you for your concern.
I’m gonna (try to) start posting issue 5 on October 1st, so don’t be surprised if I start updating more than three times a week with these to burn the rest of them out before then.
It turns out I have 10 of these, so I might have to do two weeks to burn them out. If you’re wondering if I actually drew the deleted post: maybe.
I served jury duty today and did not wind up in an Ernest Goes to Jail situation so that’s a relief.
Hope you don’t mind me foreshadowing something that, if I bust my ass incredibly hard, will maybe run in the comic in two years.
Thanks for joining me for these. Soon, Issue 5 will start!
I don’t have many pages done but I should be able to keep up! Sorry for any future delays if they happen.

I was desperately trying to figure out how to configure these into a normal page and then realized I didn’t have to.

Chapter: 5 - Having an Average Weekend
Characters: Flip VanSusser, Jessica Bottle, Lori Pointilleux, Scum Craply, Shelley Talora, Spry VanSusser
Glowing Hearts, and every comic on this site, is a spin-off of a comic I’m never going to show you that I did almost a decade ago. The story itself wound up being too close to several other watershed comic[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Chapter: 5 - Having an Average Weekend
Characters: Assistant Mayor Lee, Bizzie Girt
I decided to make the pages bigger because I’m back to working in 600 dpi, sorry if it breaks my tables, though statistically it’s more likely that you’re looking at this on an RSS reader so it doesn’t matter.

Chapter: 5 - Having an Average Weekend
Characters: Shelley Talora, Whitney Kissov
I’ve been trying to make tags for all the characters that have been in this book, but I’ll be honest: Not only did I fudge it a lot, and forget to tag some people, but some characters didn’t actually hadn’t[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I’m still finishing this comic, and desperately trying to keep to my two-s-words per issue, one-f-word per chapter/season, and it’s hard. I say both of those words all the time.

Chapter: 5 - Having an Average Weekend
Characters: Clance Packet, Jessica Bottle, Shelley Talora, Tisl Ashwood, Whitney Kissov, Wistare Coronatus
As far as I can tell, half the pages for the rest of this set of chapters have between five and twelve characters on them, so I think I’m moving to two pages a week until I get reasonably comfortably[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
How many baths are you planning on putting in here?

Full disclosure: the original set-up to this scene felt a little too porny so I had to rewrite it a BUNCH.
Maybe someone will want an audience?

Is this how I feel about pacing? Who knows! (yes) ALSO I just got a new tablet monitor and this is the first page inked with it (the backgrounds were done on the previous one). So the comic may wind[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Chapter: 5 - Having an Average Weekend
Characters: Tisl Ashwood, Wistare Coronatus
Amy and Whitney switched names like six times when I was planning stuff. Amy was just known as “Skull” in the previous comics she was in. And oddly, Whitney has one of the first spoken lines by a human on[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I believe that this is only the third ever page in this book to not feature Tisl, Shelley, Wistare or Jessica, and all three pages are within this issue.

I apologize for referencing defecation so much in this issue! It just happened!
Thank you for reading this issue! There won’t be a big break between this and issue 6, just a week or two. I can’t guarantee a February 17th launch, but it is possible/semi-likely.
I’ll see you in a couple weeks with the beginning of Chapter 6! I’ll be cutting it a little close again, at least at first (it’s possible I won’t be able to do a “buy before it’s posted” thing again),[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I did this background before drawing the characters in, so here are some of the details you’re missing:
Will I be able to keep pace with this comic? Only time will tell. I got spring allergies coming in like a freight train but I’ll persist.
The dithering looks a little weird because I’ve started processing my images with Aseprite. Once I do a different color scheme it shouldn’t be an issue. So look forward to that in… 25 pages?
Please know that despite making a reference to a work made by Ricky Gervais, this comic does not support him in any way. Thank you for your concern in this trying time.

This isn’t a spread, really, though it should be. I have a vertical version of this page but everything is incredibly bunched up and difficult to read. I try to make my pages most of a complete idea, and sometimes[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…

I am willing to put a lot of work into this comic, but I didn’t want to dig for the unicode symbol for alpha. Sorry.

I had made a picture to replace the image in the previous post and forgot to update the page before posting it.
I managed to write almost 2 chapters in the last week and a half which makes this the furthest ahead on writing I’ve been since before I launched this site.
If this is spelled wrong it’s a pun. Today, after two months of work and having had drafts for nearly two years, I finished doing the preliminary layouts of the next four chapters. I have freelance this week, so I[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
