There’s reasons for various design changes over the course of the first book – Shelley’s hair dye changing, Tisl’s leaves falling out and growing just a little taller, Wistare no longer having access to her hair care routine. But Jess’ is because I didn’t quite have a handle on their character yet, and also because I don’t really like this haircut. BUT, it’s the one they have in chapter 2 so I was locked in, more or less.
