I used to have more specific advice for throwing a grappling hook properly, but realized that it was probably not true and that I would have to look up the proper way to throw one. Mainly: Spiral is probably bad for throwing one because of the way it’s shaped. It would probably increase wind resistance or drag or some such thing.

Honestly it just hasn’t come up all that much in my daily life.
