So, for kicks I did a page of my comic on ~*REAL MEDIA*~. I feel that instead of explaining what my comic process is, this untouched paper comic reveals my digital process. There’s all sorts of mistakes and scaling issues, which I try to clean up as best as I can digitally. It’s much easier that way. Also my lettering is a little wonky. Getting lettering perfect is a huge skill, and the people who were and are really good at it are absolutely the biggest unsung heroes of comics. Every single time I do a comic on paper I realize that. I was surprised to find that this took almost exactly as long as a digital page.

Done on a page of 12 field Ingram’s bond, with a black micron 08, a sharpie, and maybe another pen I absentmindedly brought home with me from an animation job from four years ago.
