So, to explain why I am angry at past Ian, I am posting my layout for this page imported into Manga Studio ex4. While it’s may be interesting to see how and what I change from the layouts I made in April to the finished page I literally completed not 20 minutes before posting this, I’d like to point out the first before last panel. Somehow I thought that was ALL I would need for the word bubbles.
Please learn from my mistake: If you’re going to have a wordy panel, plan it out extra carefully, and size the word bubbles and panel accordingly.
This is why when I lay out a comic I start with the dialog.
Yeah, I just felt like it would be weird at the time to do one final step and then a bunch of rough steps. This has been, if nothing else, a huge learning experience.
